Why hello there! You may be wondering what happened to these coloring tutorials. Before I dive into this one, let me say I am getting ready to send 4 coloring books to publishing, prepare a product drop, and am trying to keep up with my mail club.

Unfortunately, it quickly became clear that I had to slow down to meet some other goals this month, which means I will pick back up on day 14 onward in the next week! I will be continuing on into July.

That little housekeeping said, let's dive right into this Bush Coloring Tutorial.

Bush Coloring Tutorial

This tutorial is a little different from yesterday's grassland, but I wanted to demonstrate another quick way to create depth when you want more contrast.

Tools Used

In this tutorial, I used Honolulu B old and new markers, Pandafly charcoals, and Arrtx acrylics. The green charcoal really is just to add some texture and can be optional.

Bush Coloring Tutorial Step-By-Step

Step 1: Start with MG060 to define the bush shadows.
Step 2: Use BV31 to color in the rest of the sky.
Step 3: G120 along the bush outline to help blend, and then dot the entire section of the bush for underlying texture.
Step 4: Green acrylic the bush, being more dense with the dots along the top from the base.
Step 5: Next, use light green acrylic to add some dots along the top edge of the bush.
Step 6: Use MG060 back over with dots to provide depth.
Step 7: Use E97 to create branches
Step 8: Use the green acrylic again over some of the branches
Step 9: Charcoal the darker parts of the MG060 with swirls to provide some texture.
